Summer Study: Level 1

I'm really excited about our summer study programs. Level 1 is designed for students ages 8+, beginning / intermediate who are not yet on pointe. The full study consists of a technique class, a conditioning class, and a variations class. Each week, students will be preparing to learn a classical variation (solo piece from a ballet), so the steps and strengths learned will help prepare the students for this. You can choose to take the

whole six week session for an intense and well-rounded

summer of ballet, or you can choose which weeks you'd

like to participate. You may also take only technique or

only conditioning, as they also work well on their own.

Cost: $300 for full 6 weeks (3 classes per week) or $65 for

select weeks.

Drop in classes: $22.00 for either a single technique or conditioning class. No registration necessary. No drop ins for Variations class.

Adult Ballet Summer Session

I love teaching adult ballet! I strongly believe that the true study of ballet is not reserved only for children, that it's never too late to begin learning ballet, and there is never an age where you need to stop. We learn many new skills as adults! I would love to have a thriving adult ballet program that allows adults to begin learning ballet and then integrate into the appropriate level for their skills once they are comfortable. This summer class will be appropriate for beginner / intermediate level dancers. You have the option to take class in person or over zoom to fit your

schedule / comfort level. This will be a welcoming, joyful place for anyone who wants to dance. Come as you are, with the body you have, with the clothes you're comfortable in, and let's dance!

Cost: $99 for the full six week session.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are a great way to make a large amount of progress in a small amount of time. One-on-one with the teacher means ALL of my attention is on YOU! You can get detailed corrections and tips, and a class catered to your needs.

This summer, I will be offering three specific kinds of private lessons for your various needs.

1. Classic- includes barre exercises, center exercises, and allegro. This is a generic class of the right level for the student, and the instructor will give feedback and corrections on the exercises, helping the student to identify areas of strength or weakness. The teacher will send the student home with three key exercises to help them in the area they have chosen. This type of private lesson is available for ages 7 and up, any level. It is a one-hour class. $45.00

2. Targeted workshop- For this type of lesson, you choose the focus area (pirouettes, flexibility, arabesque, jumps, artistry...just to name a few!) in advance, and I will prepare a workshop just for you. This will include individual study of how you are doing with the skill, one-on-one help, and a "challenge" to take home and work on. After your lesson, I will also send you some more exercises you can do on your own, which address the specific things we discovered and talked about during class. I will send a video of the exercises to make it easy for you to remember. This type of private lesson is available for Intermediate 1 students and higher, and is $70.00.

3. Student Choreography Critiques- For this type of lesson, you can learn about choreography! I can help you with structuring the piece, learning how to use the space, how to use the music, and how to perform it. This works well for a student who has already choreographed something and just wants guidance and critiques, or a student who is interested in learning choreography but isn't sure where to begin. This type of private lesson is 90 minutes, is appropriate for Intermediate 1 and above, and is $55.00.

Availability: usually Fridays.
